SharePoint Developer required by my truly amazing public sector client in Canary Wharf. They do significant work protecting the best interests of the public whilst working independently of the Government.

The SharePoint Developer, role will predominantly focus on our SharePoint 2013 and Office365 applications. You will work as part of the Solution Development Team, developing, testing and supporting business applications to the requirements of many teams within the organisation. To produce documentation relevant to each part of the development cycle, attend sprint planning sessions, stand-ups and retrospectives.

Initially, the role will involve converting SharePoint 2010/2013 solutions to Power Apps and Flow applications and so the ideal candidate will have a strong SharePoint development background

Key responsibilities

* Delivers and integrates Sharepoint and O365 applications to form a complete service
* Plan and lead development on sets of related stories
* Have an understanding of the whole system and take responsibility for teaching this to others
* Work with other disciplines to understand what needs to be built and operate the production services they build
* Find ways to improve system robustness, resilience and stability
* Develop software to meet user needs
* Follow best practice guidelines and help to improve those guidelines
* Write clean, secure and well-tested code, understanding supporting processes and the entire ecosystem in which you operate. You should learn how this all fits together and focus on your contribution towards it
* Operate the services they build and identify issues in production
* Understand the different types of testing (unit, integration, UI etc) and how they can be used to drive good software development practices
* Strive to balance technical excellence and delivery
* Actively seek opportunities for learning from others
* Engage with other team members to understand what they are doing and why

* Knowledge of modern documentation / project management tools (e.g. Confluence)
* Experience of developing and maintaining SharePoint 2010/2013 applications
