Software Engineer (Golang, Scala, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript) required by my fantastic and world leading media intelligence software solutions client in Reading.

Working as part of the development team in Reading you’ll be focused on delivering my clients core platform that utilises AI, Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) enabling organisations around the world to extract, contextualise and organise information across the web, revealing valuable insights on market treads etc.

You’ll be experienced with at least one of the following languages Golang, Scala, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript and added experience of AWS including EC2 and RDS, and Kubernetes or an alternative container orchestration technology.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

* A Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* Knowledge of at least 1 of the following programming languages: Golang, Scala, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript.
* Experience with AWS including EC2 and RDS.
* Experience with Kubernetes or alternative container orchestration technologies.
* Enthusiasm for microservice architecture and distributed systems.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to find creative solutions to technical problems.
* Experience of working in an Agile led development environment and in following the core principles of Scrum.
* Messaging and queueing topologies and architectures, and experience of Kafka would be highly desirable.
* Use of CI/CD tools such as Drone.
* Excellent communication skills are required to communicate with teams distributed around the world.
* You must be eligible to live and work within the UK without requiring sponsorship.
