My client is a fantastic, award-winning provider of video streaming solutions to some of the largest players in the media industry, involved in building Next Generation TV services for broadcasters, sports federations and media companies.

A well funded and growing business, they are looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join their team.


* As a member of the Engineering team, your role will be focused on the performance and architecture of their AWS account.
* You will aid the team in implementing best practices, ensuring infrastructure is as efficient as possible in terms of performance, cost and security.
* You will assess their current cloud computing infrastructure to plan and implement cost saving practices and performance upgrades via new technologies.
* This opportunity would suit someone who is a self-starter, has years of experience working with cloud computing and is comfortable working in a small team.
* The ideal candidate will be excited about both technology and broadcast industries and enjoy a challenge.


* Using the full range of AWS services to improve the scalability, security and resilience of their software solutions
* Find new and interesting uses for AWS products which can benefit customer or improve their workflows
* Work to reduce their AWS costs via optimisation: auto scaling and data retention policies
* Automate reports of AWS usage to 35+ customer
* Work with other engineers to setup and deliver customer projects
* Participation in the out of hours support program


* Practical understanding of Cloud architecture concepts, e.g. scaling, performance, security, integration & costs.
* A minimum of 3 years experience in an AWS Architect or Engineer type role.
* Knowledge of data management and visualisation: Lambda, Athena, Quick sight, CloudWatch, SNS, DynamoDB
* Experience of releasing code through Code Deploy and use of containers
* Understanding of S3 and Cloudfront

* Self-motivated and able to work autonomously to achieve agreed objectives/ excellent collaboration skills and flexibility to work in a small team.
* Well-organised with a methodical approach to tasks and effective time management.
* Broadcast industry experience is a plus
* AWS certifications are a plus
