As a software developer you are responsible for designing, running and improving software that meets user needs. You are responsible for writing clean, secure code following a test-driven approach. You create code that is open by default and easy for others to reuse.

The Software Developer, Office365 role will predominantly focus on our Sharepoint 2013 and Office365 applications. You will work as part of the Solution Development Team, developing, testing and supporting business applications to the requirements of many teams within Ofgem. To produce documentation relevant to each part of the development cycle, attend sprint planning sessions, stand-ups and retrospectives.

Initially, the role will involve converting SharePoint 2010/2013 solutions to Power Apps and Flow applications and so the ideal candidate will have a strong SharePoint development background.

* ​ operate the services they build and identify issues in production
* ​ understand the different types of testing (unit, integration, UI etc) and how they can be used to drive good software development practices

·​ Experience with development infrastructure and tools (source control, story boards, wiki)

Desirable:

·​ Knowledge of modern documentation / project management tools (e.g. Confluence)

·​ Experience of developing and maintaining SharePoint 2010/2013 applications
