We are building a Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) driven organisation and will lead industry by showcasing best practice when dealing with data, digital and technology in the energy sector. Our more modern, insight-driven, innovative approach to DDaT will provide outstanding experiences at the right cost, quality and pace. As part of its strategic approach to technology, we are looking to migrate its IT to a cloud environment.

This role’s core purpose is to ensure successful delivery by providing specialist expertise, knowledge and facilitation across all projects, and specifically for the migration from on premises to Office 365 environment and data centre migration.

In fulfilling the three key accountabilities of the role, of -

* Financial project control
* Resource management
* Overall delivery of the programme

Key responsibilities will include:

* Support domain lead as SME collaborating in product vision, strategy, and roadmap definition for the Office 365 programme.
* Support the strategy for the migration of internal Collaboration and Productivity Tools to a Microsoft 365 environment.
* Support the implementation of workflow and other customized functionality in a cloud Microsoft Office 365 environment.
* Serve as a subject matter expert, defining and delivering world class solutions for Microsoft Office365 and other productivity tools, actively working towards ensuring all systems are user friendly, high performing, high quality, modern applications.
* Develop the relationship with and act as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams interacting closely with customers, business partners, industry analysts, and various teams.
* Develop product marketing materials, website content and user adoption/training programs.
* Work with MSFT to ensure regular effective communications and adoption of product releases.
* Collaborate with relevant functional management to gain buy in and sponsorship of the strategy and programme; working with with senior stakeholders and the delivery team to shape the direction of the projects and to identify key activities.
* Put in place project disciplines, project plans and progress monitoring tools to ensure delivery to timescale.
* Ensure best practice, governance and knowledge sharing with the DDaT Project Management Office.
* Track benefits associated with the programme/projects.
* Source staff and consultants with the appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience to fulfil program requirements, within a timely manner.
* Ensure complete and thorough initiation and planning phases are performed for all projects, ensuring business standard processes are followed by all project team members.
* Communicate on a regular basis the project status and benefits to all team members and stakeholders, ensuring senior stakeholders are appraised of progress and key issues and management know the status of the domain delivery regionally.
* Manage and ensure resolution of all issues, including guiding project team members through decision making processes where necessary.
* Ensure project outcomes fulfil the agreed requirements and meet business needs.
* Undertake the role of the team's coach, helping team members work together in the most effective manner possible to deliver against requirements.
* Monitor project risk profiles and suggest mitigation strategies and to ensure that the risk and controls aspects have technical support as required.


Candidates must have a track record in the public or private sector, demonstrating experience of:

* Project and programme management within a large complex environment, the ability to multi-task and manage multiple small to large projects across a cross-functional environment delivering to challenging timescales.
* Demonstrating solid understanding of IT Operations, processes, and software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management
* Applying a sound understanding of key project methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall and Prince2, with strong skills in project planning, risk management, supplier management, stakeholder management, and budget management.
* Strong resource planning and management skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

* Managing projects to business requirements, specification, time and budget.

* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a large volume of work

* Supporting other project management and PMO colleagues to build a centre of excellence and best practice.


* Ability to adapt structured methodology
* Strong analysis, design and implementation experience with technologies
* Highly committed and a “can-do” approach
* Ability to step in and undertake PMO, Delivery Manager, Business Analysis tasks where resource constrained in order to support the team
* Formal experience and qualification in PRINCE 2 and/or APM PMQ
