Software Developer (.Net (C#), Webforms, MVC, SQL,) required by my amazing public sector client in central London for a 6 month contract.

You will possess excellent expertise within Microsoft technologies including, but not limited to: ASP.Net (C#), ASP.Net Webforms, MVC, ASP.Net Web API's and SQL Server and will be used to working as part of a collaborative team.

As this is public sector you will be happy working within the IR35 regulations.

Specific minimum qualifications and expertise:

  • Substantial expertise as a Microsoft Software Developer
  • Essential skills and proven expertise in the following technologies:
  • Microsoft .NET (C#, ASP.NET)
  • SQL Server 2008 R2\2012, stored procedures, jobs, schema design
  • Net Webforms
  • Net MVC

Knowledge and experience of:

  • Relational database design
  • SQL Stored procedures
  • Object-Oriented Design
  • Development techniques and design patterns
  • Source Control (TFS, GIT)

Demonstrable expertise of collaborative working with:

  • Business Analysts, QA Testers, Project Managers, Senior Managers, and Business Customers.
  • To ideally hold a degree and a technical qualification (e.g. MCAD, MCSD, MCTS).

Purpose:

To develop and support applications to the requirements of the client within a formal team structure.

Key outputs and deliverables:

  • Development, maintenance, and support of key applications.
  • Technical documentation of key business applications.
  • Technical ownership of application requirements.

Key stakeholder relationships:

  • To work as part of a team with Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA Testers, and the IT Infrastructure team to develop and deliver key business applications.
  • To work with the IT Infrastructure team to resolve issues with the clients business applications.
  • To work with the IT Service Desk to resolve internal and external customer issues with the clients business applications.
  • To work with outsourced development partners to transfer technical knowledge of externally developed applications in-house.

Key accountabilities:

  • Ensuring that business applications developed internally and externally are technically and functionally suitable for the client.
