Instructional Designer required by my amazing financial edtech innovation start-up client in London. My clients SaaS solution (web-based app) provides financial education to over 300,000 University students and they’re currently looking to expand their team.

As their Instructional Designer it will be your sole responsibility to own the production of the learning content and support learners by breaking down difficult financial concepts into story-driven scripts, animations, data visuals, expert interviews, written articles and content-driven email campaigns. You’ll create storyboards whilst incorporating educational approaches and innovative instructional design methods. You will co-create a content evaluation process to ensure maximum success, user engagement and satisfaction, while also knowing how to add value to the learning experience within the digital space by making sure it is educationally sound, creative and effective.

You will be rewarded with an amazing working environment where “they laugh all the time”. You’ll be part of a highly successful and growing team with a similar passion and drive as yourself. You receive a very competitive salary and equity package, and great benefits including 22 days holiday + days between Christmas and New Year, team lunches (they’re all foodies) and a great work life balance.

Requirements:

* Ability to take sole responsibility of owning the production of the clients learning content
* Experience of creating and delivering online training courses
* Stellar research and writing skills, with a focus on scripts and articles
* Meticulous attention to detail - you will be responsible for delivering error-free, concise copy (created with wit and spark) and be the proof-reading guru!
* Proficient in CMS (content management systems) such as WordPress
* Ability to research facts and deal with data (excel-style) to create infographics/data-visuals to tell data-driven stories
* Technical skillset e.g. Adobe creative suite, Articulate storyline 2 or any other rapid authoring tool (opportunity to implement the tools you want!!)
* The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues, customers, partners and investors
* Comfortable in a fast moving, dynamic start-up environment.
* Collaborative approach, passionate about learning, education and innovation
* Driven, tenacious, determined and motivated, but also highly creative and innovative
* Superb communication skills with a fantastically friendly and fun attitude

Highly desirable:

* A background in teaching, course design, psychology or finance would be extremely beneficial, because research skills and pedagogical finesse will be some of your most valuable assets
