Software Developer (.Net, SQL, MVC) required by my fantastic public sector client in Glasgow.

You will be very strong in Microsoft technologies including MS .Net (C#), ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server, and will be required to develop, maintain and support applications to the clients requirements, within a formal team structure.

You’ll work collaboratively with all levels of the business including Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA Testers, and the IT Infrastructure team to resolve issues, whilst also taking technical responsibility and ownership of the application requirements.

Essential:

* A degree and a technical qualification (e.g. MCAD, MCSD, MCTS), or equivalent relevant professional experience
* Strong Microsoft Software Development experience within an Agile methodology
* Expertise in the following technologies:

* Microsoft .NET (C#)
* SQL Server Development
* Net MVC
* Test Driven Development (TDD)
* Continuous Integration, build and deployment automation

* Working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders at all levels of the business
* Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Desirable:

* Knowledge/experience of some of these areas:

* Object-Oriented Design
* Development techniques and design patterns
* Continuous Integration and Deployment
* Data modelling
* Relational database design
* SQL Stored procedures
* Unit Test Frameworks and Tools (Nunit, Moq, etc)
* Source Control (TFS, GIT)

* A good working knowledge of some of the following technologies:

* Entity Framework
* Dependency Injection (Unity)
