Senior Software Developer (Microsoft .Net (C#) SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC) required by my excellent public sector client in Glasgow.

As the Senior Software Developer you’ll assist the Development Manager in leading, managing and mentoring a small team of developers in the technical development and support of the client’s application projects.

You will help by researching and implementing new strategic technologies, and suggest improvements to the application development process. You will work closely with the Project Manager in providing a technical perspective throughout the lifecycle.

* A degree and a technical qualification (e.g. MCAD, MCSD, MCTS), or equivalent relevant professional experience
* Substantial expertise as a Microsoft Software Developer
* Essential skills and proven expertise in the following technologies:

* Microsoft .NET (C#)
* SQL Server Development
* Net MVC
* Test Driven Development (TDD)
* Continuous Integration, build and deployment automation

Knowledge and experience of:

* Object-Oriented Design
* development techniques and design patterns
* Continuous Integration and Deployment
* Data modelling
* Agile Methodologies
* Relational database design
* SQL Stored procedures
* Unit Test Frameworks and Tools (Nunit, Moq, etc)
* Source Control (TFS, GIT)
* Agile Methodologies

A good working knowledge of some of the following technologies:

* Entity Framework
* Dependency Injection (Unity)
* Powershell
* Demonstrable expertise of collaborative working with:

* Business Analysts, QA Testers, Project Managers, Senior Managers, and Business Customers.


* Some previous line management experience
